Heidi Montag and her husband, Spencer Pratt, had it all—for a short while, anyway. Unfortunately for Heidi and Spencer, they are more famous now for how they messed everything up than for the reality TV career which, though short-lived, brought them their initial fame. The reality show the couple starred on for six seasons, The Hills, was cancelled last year, and, rather than count their blessings and save their money from the show, Heidi and Spencer blew everything.
In retrospect, Heidi Montag thought that she was "investing in herself" in the very way "Kim Kardashian" invests in herself. Only, for Heidi, it didn't work. One fake divorce, a multi-million dollar music career (if you can call it that) which flopped, and ten cosmetic surgeries in a day later, Heidi Montag was not only yesterday's news, but she was also broke, along with her husband. They could have saved the money they made during those lucky six years on reality TV and lived a decent life. Now, they are broke and living with Spencer's parents.
Now, Heidi Montag thinks that reality TV "wrecked her life." No, Heidi—reality TV did not do that—you and Spencer did that all by yourselves. Heidi Montag said, "I should've known growing up and not having any money ever that I should've kept every dollar that I had. I thought I was investing in myself and my brand, like Kim Kardashian."
